Installing LockDown Browser

LockDown Browser is required by any test taker using a PC or Mac to access the Secured Exams on Canadian Adult Education Credential. Please follow the directions below to download and install LockDown Browser.

Installation Instructions

  • Locate LockDownBrowserOEMSetup (usually in the Downloads folder), and double click on the file to launch the installer.
  • Accept all the defaults during the install.
  • Once the install is complete, close the installation window.

    Prepare for a secured exam by checking personal devices and taking practice tests.
  • Teachers
    For supervisors proctoring a secured exam, printing written responses, or requesting field test scores.
  • Administrators
    Sign up to use Quest A+ for diploma exams and PATs, access a perusal, access prelim results, or diploma reports.
  • Technologists
    Set up school owned devices for a secured exam.
